Entomo Farm is a startup from Bordeaux, which is developing sustainable insect farming systems for the agro-food industry. This technology offers several advantages:
- It allows producing industrial-scale volumes of insect meal, with very few resources and a low carbon footprint.
- It meets the food industry’s requirements for traceability and food safety.
- The production line is automated. It requires little human intervention.
- The system is available in maritime container format (mobile production units) or industrial plant (large tonnages)
The first market targeted by Entomo Farm is fish farming. The international aquaculture industry is indeed in search for an alternative protein source for fish feed, to replace fish meal derived from sea fishing, whose price has increased by 186 % over the past 10 years.
Entomo Farm asked A to B to set up and manage an equity crowdfunding campaign on the platform Sowefund.com . The goal: to raise 400,000 euros to finalize the prototype and start delivering the first customers .
SOLUTION
The project was organized in 3 stages :
- Identity redesign: The brand personality and its positioning were formalized in a creative brief. This work led to the creation of a new graphic identity for the brand and to the launch of a bilingual website in line with the company’s ambition.
- Perfecting the pitch: Powerpoint presentation , elevator pitch , video presentation, video interviews with founders, … A to B has implemented a comprehensive story-telling strategy before the start of the campaign.
- Planning and monitoring the crowdfunding campaign: After defining tactics for each key stage of the campaign , A to B took-care of the day-to-day communication work: media relations, creation of text, visual and video contents for the blog, the newsletter, social media and the company profile on Sowefund.com.
